Vision Statement
As a faithful congregation of the Community of Christ who are committed to "proclaiming Jesus Christ and promoting communities of Joy, Hope, Love and Peace" in the Omaha metropolitan area, we affirm that we have been blessed by God with a rich diversity of ages, a talendted and dedicated membership, plentiful financial and physical resources to be used in ministry. Through a discernment process blessed by the Holy Spirit, we feel God is calling us at this time/this place to...
* Reach out to our neighborhood and community with ministries that emphasize the worth of persons, community building, and the peace of Jesus. Our neighborhood and community ministries especially need to meet the needs of children and youth.
* Provide spirit-filled, dynamic, and quality worship experiences that meet the needs of our friends, community, and membership in an ever-changing culture that we live in.
* Provide "discipleship formation" activities (learning how to be a follower of Jesus) for all ages, that will help friedns and membership increase their commitment as a desciple, develop their God-given talents and gifts, and expand their potential for leadership opportunities in the congregation.
* Provide fellowship opportunities for all ages, that help friends and membership feel they are part of an extended family - the family of God.
